what is puja and why Hindus believe in performing puja?

In Hinduism, puja is the most common way of worshiping God. It is the most common way of worship that is practiced in every Hindu house today. The word puja consists of two letters “Pa”and “Ja”. Pa means “parayana” or continues repetition of names of god and Ja means “japa” or continues mental recreation of the names of God. So according to this interpretation “puja” is essentially a kind of worship in which both parayanam and Japam are practiced by the devotes.

Puja allow Hindu peoples to revere gods and goddess. Through worship they show how they revere and respect God and win his heart to be protected in difficult times. Many god and goddess are worshiped in Hinduism. All gods have different powers and protect a human being at difficult times of their life.

In Hinduism, puja ceremonies are performed in front of a God statues by using certain objects (puja thali, puja kits, chandan powder, incense sticks), mantras and methods of worship. On a superficial level it is assumed that they are liked by the deity who is being worshipped, and therefore by using such items in our worship we gain the grace and goodwill of the deity.

Performing puja these days have become a tougher task for many, as they are already fixed with their tight schedules. This has become more tough for the people living in abroad, as chances of getting required puja items and a priest there is not possible easily. Thus due to such situations today online puja services have existed. They provide all kind of puja services to their customer. They conduct puja on their behalf and deliver the Prasad to them at their homes.

Along with providing puja services they also provide spiritual items like Rudraksha, Energized Yantra to their customers. Spiritual items help a person to overcome from problems in their life such as financial problems, depression, family problems. It is said that 80% of the problems we face have their root cause in the spiritual dimension, thus by using spiritual items or through spiritual practices we can avoid such problems in our life.
